recruit boys type? he-man isn't sexist at all. otherwise there won't be a sorceress at all..who you know is also a woman. she gave adam the magic sword that made him turn into he-man..so the females are equally treated in the masters of the universe. what those stupid feminists say about the toy line and franchise is totally bullshit..
all i was wondering that even if the masters of the universe need assistance to battle the evil forces then they would approach (or maybe summon) all the mighty heroes of earth at once..instead of going to them one by one.
But the Soceress was there before He-Man, or prince Adam, exist. Not his call.
And in this context when I sayd "recruit boys" there were a sense implied, or I tried to implie one (but of course I dont know english so I may have made it wrong). What I intended is: He-Man looks like someone who only would by on choice dates people of the same sex, in his case males. That's a impression anyway, not a well established story element...
Talking about the fiction from outside it, it is quite sexist. She-Ra has just same physical strength her brother has, but her sword can do all that nice transformation his can't, AND her friend/mount flies!!! Noting "equal" there. (lol)
OK, it was to be a patriarchal scenario at first. After all it is based on Conan!! But things change, and this one reversed. (happens a lot: "equally" is a color hard to find on the palette, most writers not even try, they go rigth to the oposit pole of sexism and call this "problem solved").
